Most of those children don't have one-tenth of the opportunity my children had, and I don't think that's fair.

I believe there are many dysfunctional families in our community. I am particularly concerned about children from low-income families. I wish that those children had more opportunity across the board to enjoy what Sioux Falls offers.

I am extremely supportive of communities being able to make their own decisions regarding tobacco, alcohol and video gambling restrictions. I couldn't be a stronger believer in local control.
