She fought back. She kicked the guy as hard as she could, which is why he eventually left the store running. To me, this is the ultimate insult, the ultimate injury. I think it's a reminder too, though, of how good people have to stand up and take their community back, about what we, the law-abiding citizens, need to do to protect our corner of America.

I try to listen to people. The older I get, the more I see that it's the little things you do that make a difference to people. Even just saying hello can brighten someone's day.

From the very beginning, the fuss that the community raised over the process in the beginning made a difference, not the least of which was cutting it in half.

It really enforces your leadership in the community as the voice of the community.
