One of the emerging trends in Australia is house breaks where the keys are stolen, because nowadays the late model vehicles have good security devices in them.

Ophelia was surprised by how easily she lied. She had two stolen keys in her pocket, and the lies were sliding off her tongue. Soon, she'd probably be shoplifting. She expected that was how it started.

Back then, I think a maximum of 10 percent of the cars on the road had these kinds of keys; now I think it's more like 60 percent, and of course it takes time for people to start losing their keys, so we are just starting to see these sorts of problems and I think it's the tip of the iceberg.
