Peace is not just the absence of war. Like a cathedral, peace must be constructed patiently and with unshakable faith.

War should belong to the tragic past, to history: it should find no place on humanity's agenda for the future.

It is not credible that any one should possess so little understanding as to desire the faith and yet be destitute of the most necessary faculty to enable him to receive it.

The truth of faith about creation is radically opposed to the theories of materialistic philosophy. These view the cosmos as the result of an evolution of matter reducible to pure chance and necessity.

Peace must be more than the absence of war,
