People are essentially evicted, and there are no kids coming from those places for the six months to a year that the units are being renovated.

The kids are very enthusiastic. It has opened their hearts and minds to see that disasters actually affect people. They get some first-hand knowledge of what's happening. It helps them understand things that are outside of their community.
