She has an arsenal of pitches that she and our pitching coach use freely. They do a good job analyzing the weaknesses of hitters on other teams, and she has the pitches that allow us to do that.

Vern is the pitching coach.

It was the good pitching we faced. We helped them out by chasing pitches out of the zone. We were not as disciplined. But we still had a couple of opportunities. We just did not get the hits.

The umpires do a good job ... but sometimes they miss pitches. That's the way it goes.

Woody was great, ... He did a terrific job. He was getting up there in pitches. He had good command, even though he logged some pitches. He was just missing.
