Slowly but surely, the expedition is moving ahead towards its goal.

We all hope to plan the best route for our journey with support from the [expedition] headquarters.

The current situation here is not very favorable, as the ice is drifting all the time, and therefore we have been carried four kilometers away from the route in the past several hours. However, despite the difficult weather conditions - a strong wind with a temperature of minus sixteen degrees - we hope to be able to cover half of the way by the end of the day.
