That's quite a long-term thing. But I also think that Ford is doing a lot of work in that area anyway. They're not amateurs, they've been working on hybrids and other fuel systems for a long period of time -- all those manufacturers have been. So they might be interested.

I think it will take about 15,000 ordinary jobs to make up for the lost Ford jobs.

If the Ford plant goes, it's going to hurt.

The mayor believes the city of San Diego should get its fair share, but we want to work cooperatively with the county. It's going to factor pretty high on our priority list.

I told the guys to remember the feeling. Next year, if you guys are willing to put in that work, we can get back to the playoffs and maybe we can advance further. I think the guys understand that. We have to take this in and get ready to go on for next year.

We're doing site-prep work now. Some of the things like making sure there's adequate communications, things like telephone lines, computer lines, getting our servers to go in there. All of that kind stuff has to be accomplished now, prior to large-scale populations of employees going in beginning in June.
