The boys are pretty upset about the free-throw shooting, but it's sectional time and the rims get a little tighter. We shoot between 68 and 70 percent, so that's unusual for us.

The West just got tougher. This is a product of free agency. We're big boys. We understand that.

We've been bringing in some of the varsity boys to simulate the size and quickness, and it's worked pretty well. It's an adjustment for our kids. They're very mature young ladies, and they understand we're bringing (the boys) in to make them better.

The boys are pretty hungry out there.
