The person who can best read their dog team, as far as what rest is needed, is probably going to be the winner at the end of the race.

The U.P. 200 is just so intense for competition. If you lose 20 minutes in the Iditarod, most likely it's not going to cost you a place. If you lose 20 minutes in the U.P. 200, it could cost you five places.

I think the U.P. 200 is finally just getting the attention it has deserved. It's always been a premiere event. With the turnout we've seen this evening, it shows that it's the premiere event, especially as far as the Midwest goes and the lower 48 (states).

I think we're in good shape for the rest of this series, pitching-wise. I'm hoping I won't even have to use the bullpen tomorrow night (tonight) with (Grant) Dorn and Can (Oil Can Boyd) pitching for us.
