The wisest have the most authority

Liberty is the proper end and object of authority, and cannot subsist without it; and it is liberty to that which is good, just, and honest

I believe in a lively disrespect for most forms of authority.

In revolutions authority remains with the greatest scoundrels.

The authority was the perfect legal vehicle to do that. Legal in that it had the powers to enter into public/private partnerships. That is, I guess, a very popular, and probably very palatable way, of handling development in today's time.

I was raised to question authority.
