This is a win-win deal for us and the Boys & Girls Club. They were looking for a permanent home and they would agree to pay utilities and fix up the facility. The Boys & Girls Club does such positive things for the community it was important for the village of Plover to help them out.

The girls sprint crew is inexperienced, and the boys distance runners are young.

We are pretty sure that the boys were seventh and the girls tied for fifth, but I don't even know who we tied.

Indirectly, we are promotion education for young African boys, and especially for girls, who probably would be at home working. But because meals are being served in the schools, their parents allow their daughters to attend with their sons. We are feeding hungry people and promoting education for young girls.

That early deficit put us behind the 8-ball for sure. But I told the girls to keep their heads up, and we battled back.

I could see both the boys and girls races being very close. It isn't just Penn and then everybody else, like before. There are a lot of teams in the mix.
