This is our fourth meet, and three of them have been in rain and snow. The kids are getting used to it. You'd think we live in Washington or something.

It's been a surprise to me to see how well these kids are doing. When you put together a team, you just don't know. But these guys are coming along real well. We haven't been beaten yet this year.

It's really fun when things start happening, when you have kids that start qualifying for state, and we're not even into April yet.

We messed up a little bit on the bars, but these kids are fighters. They do not quit.

Back in the day when we first had the MVC, it was pretty fierce. It was very competitive and kids came in with a competitive edge. When we didn't have the conference, I felt like that was lost. I have seen that return this year (with the reformation of the MVC).

It kind of bothers me about the parks because it runs through January right? So the first snow, kids run out to horseshoe hill and they are going to be sledding while the guys are a little further to the west in the trees,
