We messed up a little bit on the bars, but these kids are fighters. They do not quit.

Back in the day when we first had the MVC, it was pretty fierce. It was very competitive and kids came in with a competitive edge. When we didn't have the conference, I felt like that was lost. I have seen that return this year (with the reformation of the MVC).

It's been a surprise to me to see how well these kids are doing. When you put together a team, you just don't know. But these guys are coming along real well. We haven't been beaten yet this year.

It's really fun when things start happening, when you have kids that start qualifying for state, and we're not even into April yet.

This is our fourth meet, and three of them have been in rain and snow. The kids are getting used to it. You'd think we live in Washington or something.

I never tell the girls; they didn't know, especially after the vault we had. Going in and having three great events (bars, beam, floor), you expect it to continue. It was shocking when it didn't. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that have to fit together for this to happen. I'm sad to see the season end, then again, I'm glad it's over.
