This is the driest March on record. We are in the early stages of a drought.

The total last year was about 15 inches, and that puts it down as the 15th driest year on record. So with that dry last year combined with what we were experiencing so far this year, it really does not portend very well for the future.

It's too early to talk about the end of the drought. Overall, we're still in for a bad time.

There were a lot of headaches during the early stages of the program.

We need a good soaking rain for a couple of days to bring moisture to normal levels.

This looks interesting stuff, but it's very, very early stages.
