This was probably the first time in quite a few years that we came into a varsity basketball game in the Classic 8 Conference as the favorite. The kids knew that, too. I thought we handled that situation very well. We haven't been in that position in a long, long time.

We don't do anything fancy. We just move the basketball.

We played good enough defense to win the game. Our trouble came on the offensive end. Our goal right now is to find the answers to our questions on offense.

We just never got into the flow of the game against Pius. We need to address the offense immediately. It's a critical time of the year for us. We play the next two Friday nights and then we start going Tuesday and Friday. We need to fix things right now before we get into the meat of the season.

The key to Jay making that game-winning shot was that we got him into the best possible situation. He just reacted to the situation. He got the ball and shot it. Fortunately for us, it went in.

Del Norte has a very good basketball team and we thought we could take advantage of some things against them and my guys just all stepped up and got the job done.
