To my right, I noticed a dog, low to the ground, running at us at top speed. He had found his way through the butterfly gate in the baseball field where our son played Babe Ruth Baseball for so many years. I remember thinking that, with the velocity at which this animal was moving, this could not be good.

Bob's got us on the right track now. I'm not sure Michael knew what he was doing.

They were just running right by us.

The distance runners are running really well right now. Overall, it was just a fantastic weekend for us. Out of the five events we competed in, we had four personal bests, two school records and a provisional national qualifying mark. The real reason we came here was to run fast and throw far, and we did that this weekend.

Pension, health care and job security. It hasn't changed for us from the beginning. Those are still the top issues.

I think it's healthy -- as long as the candidates are running for the position, versus against their opponent.
