Today, Mr. Bennett told us his comments were meant as hypothetical. He says that he was really trying to demonstrate the limitation of one argument by showing the absurdity of another.

Today is an emotional roller coaster for us here. We are trying to stay focused, however, on putting out the best newspaper we can tomorrow. We have the opportunity and obligation and privilege to write our own obituary. We are in the process of trying to figure out how we are going to do that.

Individually our region was well represented today. We really have some good golfers. Team wise they didn't do so good. Steamboat Springs always goes to state and struggles every year.

He does need to be consistent, but we are happy with the way he played today.

There was a 1,600-acre fire that our volunteer fire department was trying to fight with garden hoses and grit. We knew we had to get serious about fire protection.

I was just trying to do whatever I needed to help us win. That was the objective. Today we needed extra offense and at times, I provided that. Just not enough to get a win.
