Unfortunately pain is a part of the cycle we call life, just as much as dying is...although pain is inevitable, we can control how we respond to it...death however is final, and living a life stuck where you are hurt is almost the same as death...

They say "never burn a bridge, because you never know when you may have to cross it again." Some bridges are so unsteady that we not only need to burn it, but blow it up and if you ever have to go that way again, take a chance swimming with the alligators. At least you know you're in danger and so you will be more aware of your surroundings.

The only guarantee in life is death, and many people don't want to face that reality.

Don't tell me you feel my pain, help me bear it!

Holding on when we should let go only causes more distractions and/or pain.
