We are trying to revitalize things here, ... We want to make Calvert home to the three A's - authors, artists and antiques.

Does anyone here work in advertising or marketing? Well if you do, when you get home take a gun shoot yourself. No bullshit, I'm not joking just do it. I'm just sowing seeds, one day they may take root.

What we are looking for in that category (of tenants) is truly artists. We think there is always a home for those here ... and we would like to sprinkle those, as we can, throughout the tenancy of the market.

A lot of gospel artists knew who he was. If he wasn't at home relaxing, he was playing his bass.

Allowing for all the restrictions involved when trying to rank individual artists by using general criteria, we have to say it is a measure of inscrutability and hardness, mostly already perceptible in their craftsmanship, an elusive asceticism, a stubbornness which manifests itself most clearly in a total lack of accommodation to public taste.

Anybody on this team can hit a home run. It's just all about keeping clean mechanics and keeping your head down.
