We build schools and give government loans and grants to college kids; for those of us who are parents, tuition will often be the last big subsidy we give the children we've raised.

All of us -- parents, schools, communities and government -- share responsibility to keep kids safe.

If there were no government-guaranteed student loans, college tuition would be much lower.

Because of this legislation, parents will not be forced to split their children between different schools. This bill ensures that the vast improvement in education at 21st Century can continue into the future.

Parents don't need government to raise their kids. That's their job, ... But government can help them protect their children from influences they may not want their kids exposed to.

Schools will be busing kids in. We are holding it after school because we wanted to reach the parents.
