We certainly believe all students should have a computer or easy access [to one], but we don't think this plan has been well thought out. We haven't seen proof that all students actually need their own computers.

A targeted program might make sense to get computers to students who really need one, and it would be a lot less expensive.

I believe in keeping the cohorts of students together.

[At a meeting in Statler Hall Sept. 1, representatives from departments across campus met with students from Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi and surrounding states to discuss Cornell's response to the hurricane.] We know this is on the early side of the response, ... We think of ourselves as in this with you. This is going to be a long-haul ordeal. Our thoughts are with you.

Vince Vaughn is very personable. He was just so comfortable on stage improving, inviting students on stage and interacting with the audience.

Many of the Comfort Kits we hand out contain friendly notes from Seattle students that bring smiles and sometimes tears to the faces of Gulf youth. It means a lot to the children to know that others care about them as they continue to process what happened.
