We had actually considered using other services and didn't like them. From what we understood, the only thing that was being sent was personally unidentifiable IP (Internet Protocol) addresses.

In virtually all of the eligible complaints from Web users, we were able to resolve the situation to the user's satisfaction. Our goal is not to punish anyone; our goal is to resolve disputes.

I appreciate the irony. As ironic as this is for us, it happens to other sites. Most privacy incidents are accidents and aren't willfully intended. As soon as we found out about it, it was off of our site in a half an hour.
