We had the economy. We had the Iraqi war. We had SARS. Those things took a huge chunk out of the number of our Asian visitors last year.

There are still some perceptions that attendees would do nothing but play while they are here. It's not a huge problem, but that's one issue we've had to deal with.

One can date the beginning of a civil war only in retrospect. But when we see deliberate attacks on members of one community just because of who they are, and retaliatory attacks on members of another community, it is not a good sign.

Won the war, lost the economy, lost the election. That's the mantra that haunts these people.

[A war] is going to destroy our economy even further. It's going to be a threefold humanitarian disaster.

If the economy goes up and the war is over, things could very well change.
