We have seen a huge gain in our (Illinois Standards Achievement Test) scores just because of these kids who have role models and good behaviors skills. Overall the students have helped the whole building.

This achievement is a testament to the wonderful fan base we have here in Seattle and something we're very proud of, ... I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all Storm fans who continue to make KeyArena the best home-court advantage in the league.

The bottom line is we should take pleasure in the fact American kids are doing better in math. Math achievement is going up in the United States in the long term. It is not, however, where kids in the United States ought to be.

I've been telling the kids all along we were the best 4-5 team in the state. We're as good as anybody in Class D. We went in No. 1 last year and have a lot of veterans back, but we just weren't closing out games until tonight.

Corona came out and played real well tonight. But I was happy that our kids fought and got back in the game. We'll build from this.

They're kids. They had a week or so of just hanging out and bumming around a bit. We just weren't focused, but good teams can overcome that, and they did.
