We look for them (music-users) and they come to us. Clients like doctors' offices and retail chains know there is a fee to be paid and contact us.

There is a temptation to take advantage. Just like any other aspect of society, there are the good (music users) and the bad. There are those who comply and those who resist.

It's been a word-of-mouth phenomenon that none of us have really seen in music. I'm not sure there's anything we can compare it to. It's completely unprecedented.

When people come to see us, they'll get so many flavors of acoustic roots music. It makes it hard to sell us. 'What are you? Are you a Celtic group?' Well, sometimes.

We get a wide range of responses (to our phone inquiries and visits). Some people are surprised there is a fee to pay. Music is a part of the fabric of society and people forget that it is a currency - the finished product of someone's creativity. Others understand that this (music creation) is a business.

The doctors told us if he had not been in such good shape, he wouldn't have made it. He was in the hospital 35 days, then a week in rehab and then he stayed out of school for several more weeks.
