We presented the union members with an improved offer on Thursday that we believe is a very good offer.

We were stunned and disappointed when the union came back (with an offer) that went backward from where they had been at the end of the night Monday.

Because the job didn't get done tonight doesn't mean that it the situation presented itself [Thursday], we're going to do the same thing. We got this far by the ability of these people who have been pitching and playing for us. It can't always be a happy ending. We'd like to think it is, but we'll have to bounce back.

There's still things we have to do better to win on Thursday. ... But really, it's mental — we've got to believe.

We're prepared to continue to collect waste from both our residential and commercial customers.

We've made a commitment to continue to do our normal checks. We don't want that to happen, however. We want to reach an agreement with our workers and that's where we're focused.
