We stand ready to vigorously defend the NAFTA and we will take all steps open to us to ensure it is respected.

This new flexibility which goes well beyond the 1995 agreement will improve how the NAFTA works and it will make North America more competitive.

You can't imagine the furor that will come. It may affect us very materially.

The big thing that will be lost is daily print competition, and I think competition makes all of us better. It enhances the content quality. It enhances every aspect of the work you do. You know that you need to be better than the day before. I think that adds an edge to your skills. It adds an edge to coverage.

No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.

We're not going to support cuts to domestic programs, and I expect more than a few Republicans will join us on that.
