We were hoping the outcome would not be what it was. We know, though, what the scripture says about children: Their souls go straight to heaven.

The courts cannot garnish a father's salary, nor freeze his account, nor seize his property on behalf of his children, in our society. Apparently this is because a kid is not a car or a couch or a boat.

We wanted to get the children involved in Spring Street. The response was excellent.

And the sides are soft, so it's very easy for children ages 2 and 3 who can't swim to lean and flip over it and drown.

We're offering so much for families at this week's Farmers Market. After you buy your locally grown produce, children can participate in crafts and games at the Family Fund's Big Pumpkin Fair. We're very pleased to partner with the Family Fund again for this memorable event.

Our thesis is that children love learning, naturally, but if they're not educated right, they'll come to dislike it. We use a 'classical' model of education which focuses on the love of learning as opposed to just acquiring a body of knowledge.
