What we want to do is get the parents and kids together and taking part in math and science. Our goal is to keep parents involved in the schools and to make it fun.

We do like to show our kids how math and science is used in real life. A lot of the people we invited are experts or have knowledge of a craft that we as teachers might not have access to (so) this gives the students something extra.

There is a lot they can do here. They can see a lesson or can stop in and sit down in a room for a while.

The No Child Left Behind Program was an incentive to the schools to get their kids up to snuff on math and science and reading.
