When Howard Beach occurred -- and it was white on black -- everyone was upset. This is similar. Somehow because this was black on white, people think it is different. No, it isn't.

We realize the irony in having a black organization in the middle of Howard Beach. But we've really had no problems, other than when some knucklehead set the fence post on fire about 10 years ago.

This is us -- we are very beach-oriented and wanted to create an atmosphere similar to that. And we want our customers to be relaxed and to enjoy walking around here -- we want them to leave thinking our store was fun.

We do not believe, had he been white, that he would be dead. And when we black folks say to America that we're not going to tolerate it, it's going to stop.

He struggled with black and white. But when he got to Arles in 1888, he discovered the reed pen, and it was then he developed a more comfortable relationship with his tool. As reed wears down, it becomes softer, more flexible and responsive to his gestures on paper.

That makes it even better. Now when we upset them, it'll be a shock to everybody.
