When kids are happy to see their group succeed, and not have to be the leading part all the time, I think they like that. The key thing is the 'We.' It's the offense, it's the defense, and it's the special teams. We want to make teams defend the whole field.

This is a team sport, and the kids know that we are trying to be more diversified and not have as much of a feature player as we had last year. We're going to spread it around a little bit more, and hopefully that makes us a little more dangerous.

That second title means a lot. The kids have worked hard to get the program to succeed. Now we've got some great youth programs coming up. We knew Greenwood was very good. Their guards are tough and they shoot the ball well. We had to match their intensity.

I?m very proud of my kids. They kept battling the whole time. They just faced a little bit too much firepower.

These teams, the coaches and these kids - we all know each other. This is the third time we'll meet and I think we'll put on a good show. These teams are real even.

Not playing with Jon McLaughlin made a huge difference. We found out, even without the state's leading rusher, that we can continue to play at a high level. We found out in those two games that we do have other kids that can step up and be playmakers whenever possible.
