When we played at Blue Ridge last week, we brought up three freshmen so we could have 25 kids suited up. I'd prefer not to have to play anyone both ways, but we're just not in the position to do that. Some of our kids never ever leave the field.

We have pretty good pressure. Our kids get after it.

The kids are a little disappointed. They have been playing 'what if?' all day.

Coaches have a certain amount of influence that maybe parents don't have. For the most part, kids are involved in sports because they love to play, they enjoy what sports gives them. Some kids, it may be the one positive thing they have going on. Maybe they're struggling a little bit in school.

The greatest lesson those kids learned today was the importance of free speech.

We have drug and alcohol grants that a lot of schools participate in to help kids make the right decision, and we emphasize the problems associated with alcohol use with our student-athletes. Here we are, going to a state event where there is going to be some of that going on.
