While the court did not address the merits of the case, it is clear that the Pledge of Allegiance and the words 'under God' can continue to be recited by students across America.

They're all focusing on how John Roberts is going to decide Roe v. Wade. That isn't even the right question. I don't even know of a case in the (court) system that addresses it.

The Supreme Court has not directly faced the issue of whether 'under God' in the Pledge of Allegiance violates the First Amendment.

We believe the court should dismiss this lawsuit, which has no basis in fact and presents another flawed attempt to use the legal system for remove a legitimate reference to the religious heritage of our country.

In addition, I am instructing my attorney to continue to defend me in court on the merits of the case and to only use strategies that are available to any Georgia citizen. I do not want to be treated differently because of my status as a state legislator.
