Why do writers write? Because it isn't there.

Writers have opinions - that, in part, is why they write. Therefore they have strong likes and dislikes.

Why do I write? Out of fear. Out of fear that the memory of the people I write about might go lost. Out of fear that the memory of myself might get lost. Or even just to be shielded by a story, to slip inside a story and stop being recognizable, controllable, subject to blackmail.

I wasn't born to cook or clean,
but to read and write,
if you don't like me the way I am,
then go fly a kite.

Writers write while dreamers procastinate.

No matter what side of the argument you are on, you always find people on your side that you wish were on the other.
