I think from an offensive standpoint that's not the key component in our situation. They have to handle a pitching staff... and really call quality games and show all the defensive skills that we require.

I think last year was probably his most healthy year since he's been in the organization. We think the injury bug is behind him.

Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due. But from an offensive standpoint, we just are not swinging the bats worth a dime. We had opportunities time and time again. We just couldn't put anything together.

We want to have as many homegrown players as we can.

Hopefully what we've done is built a foundation where we'll be perennial contenders for the next 10 years.
