Sometimes those whose blood runs thick with Celtic heritage are brilliant, poetic, charismatic. Gifted but complicated. Some brilliant lights burn out far too soon.

That's how birthdays were in our house. All hateful charades of pretty clothes, expensive presents, and ugly words . . .

The relationship between my family and the Mariners' family has been amazing. Our relationship is not over, just changing. I look forward to staying involved in some way, shape or form in the years to come.
