No one made any motion for this. I guess the Supreme Court decided they wanted to hear this case because of its public interest. I think this is a good thing.

My reading of that case is that the U.S. Supreme Court has said that the state legislature has plenary power, full power, in respect to appointment of presidential electors and that power cannot be eroded even by the state constitution,

I think probably that this is a case that will go to the Supreme Court, which means you probably won't have a verdict until 10 years down the line.

After that point, it is likely that the case could be appealed to the Supreme Court, which could add at least another six months to the outcome. So the case may not conclude until 2003.
