The government has spent a lot of money to house people temporarily, but little has been done to enable people to come back and be residents of their city. There's no coherent strategy for the displaced to benefit from the reconstruction through jobs or housing or paying off their mortgages.

All of us are pretty outraged by what has not happened. There seems to be unlimited money for the war in Iraq, and no money to rebuild in this country.

He's the man, right? What would be more important in Congress right now than to respond to their own people?

The telecoms and construction sectors are likely to be up because that's where the money is going after the government said it wants to up its investment in these sectors.

Conventional wisdom says if you're getting a large refund, it's a bad thing, that you've lent money to the government for free for the past year. If your refund is the only way you can save, who's to say it's a bad idea? It may not be the best way to save, but it's better than nothing at all.

The triggering points are very narrow and restrictive. We're not here to run county government, other people are elected for that.
