The issue I will highlight is the chemicals in cigarette smoking that can lead to the changes in the genes that cause cancer. This will be a good opportunity for people to learn more about the various aspects of cancer.

The nicotine is addictive, but it is all the other chemicals - the umpteen carcinogens which can affect your heart and which can cause cancer, and which can affect pregnancy and your potency and libido - which come into play later on, with prolonged use.

Our hypothesis is that smokers who receive counseling will be more likely to quit smoking. We are hoping for a 25 percent to 30 percent success rate, which appears to be low but would be a significant improvement over the current rate.

It will be tough but we have two other stores that are non-smoking and things are going well there.
