There was no point in being a stickler for time because the position was hopeless. There is a thaw on its way but it has not come soon enough for racing.

We had a lot of snow between 5.30pm and 6.15pm yesterday and it is too overcast today for the situation to improve.

There is a balance to be struck. We wouldn't want to undo 100 years of heritage in one stroke. But we have built a prototype fence, which fits on to the same portable chassis as [the movable] hurdles, and the birch is stuffed into the frame in the same way as now. The sections can be wheeled around and give us the chance to rest the ground. But we haven't done any schooling over it yet.

I always considered, with every shoot, I was on trial; every time I pick up my camera and start out on the relationship, I am at degree zero. There is no coasting.

I suppose if I wanted to be the girl next door, I could have been. I think America is confused by someone who appears to be sexual and spiritual at the same time.
