Iraq is a very useful base to spread jihad in the Middle East. They have men there and weapons there and there is a breakdown in law and order. Conditions are similar to those in Afghanistan at one time.

It seems that whenever the authorities are able to uncover some of the individuals that may have played a role in the attacks, they hit a brick wall. They still don't know the mystery men who provided the financing or logistics [for these attacks]. These men set up the plot and then disappear.

The way forward is for Palestinians to realize that suicide bombers and this whole approach of violence has harmed the Palestinian cause. The trouble is that there is too much support for the policy of violence not just among Palestinians but also within the wider Arab world.
