We were there to be a support system. We were there to talk about different things and the kids wanted someone to hear them. That's why the principal (Tyrone Mills) wanted us there -- for anyone who needed us to listen.

We just keep fighting. There is no quit in Pocomoke. We have to reach into the bag. There's no other way to do it. It's like pulling a rabbit out of a hat with what we've lost this year.

Once we got Stacey Brown in foul trouble, I thought maybe we could go inside. We scored four straight baskets, and that put us right back into the game. Any little thing to get a momentum swing sometimes helps. When Fontaine got his second foul, I think that took some of the air out of them.

We thought this was an excellent way to come together as a county to show our support for those who suffered. As an educator, one of the first things I thought of was all those kids who aren't going to be able to go back to school because of the destruction.

We just have so many players that step up every night. The kids really wanted it and bought into everything and they just believe in each other.

The legacy of this All-Star Game should be to grow our base of support. We want more kids playing hockey. We want more adults playing hockey.
